Brother Mark Forster Raised to Sublime Degree of Master MasonBy WM Paul Gordon Brother Mark Forster was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on June 10, 2009 in Benjamin Franklin Lodge #83 at Madison. Besides the Members of BF#83, in attendance was Brother Josef Pronnet of Aurora Lodge #30 who presented Brother Mark with his Master Mason pin. Brother Mark has recently been admitted to the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin. At the Business portion of the Lodge meeting Brother Dan Slavik, who is the Senior Grand Deacon, reported on the recent Grand Lodge activities. The Brethren also voted affirmatively on a new petition and received another petition. After the Lodge meeting and photographs a Festive Board was held in Brother Mark’s honor. Cannon fire sounded loudly throughout the evening as Masonic toasts recognized the Brethren and events. Among the topics of discussion were the positive attributes of wearing a tuxedo, the status of the Ashler Award activities, the spirit of mature Brethren attending their Lodge in wheelchairs and walkers, and drinks with exotic names. Congratulations to Brother Mark on achieving further light in Masonry. By Robert Blackburn at 19 Jun 2009 - 8:17am | login to post comments
